Monsanto Wants to Bury This FDA Report..well why?

Let's just take some weed killer and spray it on our salad shall we?  Yum!

Share this shocking new report with everyone you know….

A FDA-registered food safety laboratory tested iconic American food for residues of the weed killer glyphosate (aka Monsanto’s Roundup) and found ALARMING amounts.
Just to give you an idea of how outrageous these amounts are, independent research shows that probable harm to human health begins at really low levels of exposure – at only 0.1 ppb of glyphosate. Many foods were found to have over 1,000 times this amount! Well above what regulators throughout the world consider “safe”.
I am frankly shocked this information is not making front page news right now. Monsanto will do anything to bury this story… and as of right now, it’s working.
Not a single mainstream media outlet has covered this appalling new report that shows millions of people being poisoned by a chemical that does not belong in our food.
This chemical is ending up in processed foods like Cheerios, Ritz Crackers, and Oreos and being consumed by humans across the world. The health of millions of people is on the line and this news must go mainstream! That’s why I’m calling on every single one of you who reads this post to share this breaking story now. The only way this injustice will be corrected is if enough of us stand up and demand that something be done to stop the poisoning of our food supply.

Share this shocking new report with everyone you know….A FDA-registered food safety laboratory tested iconic American food for residues of the weed killer glyphosate (aka Monsanto’s Roundup) and found ALARMING amounts.

  • Independent research links glyphosate to cancer (sources: 12345) and it has been deemed a probable human carcinogen by the World Health Organization’s team of international cancer experts. The childhood cancer rate is steadily rising and experts say that they don’t know why. Why are they not taking a closer look at these facts?
  • It binds with vital nutrients in the soil (like iron, calcium, manganese, zinc) and prevents plants for taking them up. Glyphosate is thereby making food less nutritious!
Why is this weed killer in these foods? Even non-GMO and organic food! This chemical has gone so mainstream that glyphosate has infiltrated every facet of our environment – our water, air, soil.
  • Glyphosate is not just used on GMOs. Conventional (non-organic farmers) use Roundup as a drying agent on crops, such as oats and wheat. It can’t be simply washed off, as it is taken up into the plant itself.
  • As the active ingredient in popular “Roundup” herbicide, millions of people are using this stuff around their homes, and it’s widely used at parks and other public spaces.

So, that is why it’s not just GMO-filled junk food that is laced with glyphosate. It’s contaminating organic and non-GMO foods, and it’s even in our honey! The FDA quietly found it in almost every single sample of honey that they tested (from mass produced to organic mountain honey). The media has been essentially silent and barely anyone heard this news!
Even if you don’t personally eat the specific brands that were tested (I don’t), how many people are eating Cheerios and Ritz Crackers every day? A lot!

How many of your friends and family have their cabinets filled with these foods? These people need to know this information. There are still thousands of other brands and whole foods that have not been tested for glyphosate residues, so we can’t be so sure that our own organic, non-GMO, and unprocessed food is safe. Americans are effectively being forced to eat this poison until something is done to stop the rampant use of this chemical. Yes, I said poison.
Monsanto doesn’t want the public to know these findings for obvious reasons. They have our regulatory agencies in their back pocket to make sure they can continue to make a hefty profit while poisoning the masses. While there are now several manufacturers of glyphosate herbicides, Monsanto completely dominates the market and this is a best seller. They are raking in BILLIONS every year and certainly don’t want that to stop. They are clearly, without a doubt, using their prosperity to influence our government regulators. Why else would those entrusted to protect the public from harmful chemicals turn a blind eye to this?
Our public agencies are allowing corporations to poison Americans for profit. In 2013, the EPA massively increased the industry standard of what is considered a “safe” level of glyphosate on our food, in order to make enormous amounts seem A-OK. Instead of properly regulating, they effectively raised the “safe” level so that no one can blame the industry for poisoning us with unlawful amounts of chemicals. This is corruption at its finest. The EPA has a long and sordid history of doing whatever Monsanto wants and you have to ask yourself why this continues to happen and how we can make it stop.
The EPA continues to pander to Monsanto, as they keep postponing and dragging their feet to evaluate glyphosate’s link to cancer in humans. The industry is fighting tooth and nail to make sure that the EPA “evaluation” will be in their favor and is trying to control who will be on the panel. Why won’t the EPA do their job to make sure that the world’s most widely used herbicide isn’t causing us all to get cancer? Don’t you think this should be a top priority? It’s time for the EPA to put the public health above the corrupt desires of corporations.
When it comes to the FDA, they are not protecting the American public from glyphosate either. After announcing in February that they would FINALLY begin testing foods for glyphosate residues, they just decided to suspend their testing this week. Could it be that Monsanto didn’t like the results they started getting – especially since the FDA found glyphosate in foods that should be especially safe like BABY FOOD? Monsanto will do whatever it takes to keep that story out of the public eye.

Doesn’t the public deserve to know this information? It should be shouted from the rooftops! It is shameful that the American media has thus far failed to cover this breaking news, but WE HAVE THE POWER to make this information go viral. If you really want to stop the corruption perpetuated by Monsanto and the large chemical companies – this is how we shut them down!
CALL TO ACTION: Share this post with everyone you know. Tweet, share, and email this information to major media outlets and ask them to cover this story. Remember the best way to avoid glyphosate is by choosing certified organic foods because it is prohibited on organic crops. Although contamination is a real threat, the levels on organic foods are minimal compared to what’s been found on conventional foods. It’s been shown that people who eat organic foods have less glyphosate and other synthetic pesticides in their system.
The people of this country must be informed and this should be our top priority. Go, Food Babe Army, Go!

Seeds of Death: Unveiling The Lies of GMO's - Full Movie

Don't forget.  Keep fighting.  China will not allow our food into their country.  Europe will only allow non-GMO foods (this is new, before they did not allow any of our food at all)  Our government allows us to eat this food, without any benefit to the consumer...no better taste, no better nutrition etc....Now why is that?  Prop 62 Oregon

Walmart and Sherwood, Oregon have teamed up!

1 June 2013

I just found out that Walmart is coming to my neighborhood and may one day be coming to a neighborhood near you!  Can't you wait?  Low wages, more traffic, your neighborhood mom and pop shop will close down within a year and less choices of products to chose from.  Forget about buying things make in the U.S.

But wait!  There is more!  Not only do you bring more poverty into your own neighborhood, but you get to bring more slavery into China, more environmental toxic wastes will get dumped into both China and your own neighborhood!

Who can beat such a bargin!  Stop by and shop at Walmart today.

A bit about Sherwood, Oregon...from my perspective as a non-lifelong citizen.  Sherwood is all about the small town feeling, we have plenty of trees, parks and walkways.  We have one Highschool and Middle School, one nice and clean small library and cute and nifty downtown with old traditional buildings.  This is a family town, clean cut, mainly Christian and low in crime.  Everyone seems to know just about everyone and most of the folks grew up together.  We have your involved citizens, with the girl scouts, schools and development and we have your new families with stay at home moms running after their children or driving them around.

This great picture of a peaceful community is about to change and it is all because of corruption and greed.  Yes, this is what I said.  Rumors are:  One of the commissioners actually owned the land and sold it to Walmart for development.  But just before that, the zoning changed to allow this development.  It is also said that it is required for the local city government to announce the planning and request to build a new development.  It is supposed to be advertised, posted with signs on the property, in newspapers and hold an open local meeting for community discussion.

Well, none of that happened.  The Sherwood citizens found out about the Walmart after the fact.  For me this is corruption.  (uhh ohh, am I now blacklisted from this wonderful community for calling the cards as they are?)

You can imagine, if you have been following my blog over the years, that I am an anti-Walmart fan, I am person for justice and human rights. Once I discovered that in my very own community a Walmart of all things was in the future,  I was speechless for about two hours. I had to keep my head together because I was working.  Actually, I was under the impression that Sherwood was promoting the growth of small businesses and encouraging them to remain.  I actually thought that the city commission was against big businesses such as Walmart so I never imagined that one would be in my own backyard.  I was wrong and therefore shocked.

Please stay tuned to the postings about the progress and actions of our community against this Walmart.  I cannot but help writing and taking action to try to make this stop.  Please read some of the previous articles on this blog about Walmart linked below.  Don't worry, there is more to come on this topic!

VOTE: Worst Company of the Year Award!

Wow, we get the opportunity to really vote for the worse company of the year award!  It's a difficult choice to chose the worse of all evils.  Read the list then click at the bottom to cast your vote!

The companies listed are:

 Alstom:
The French energy and transport conglomerate Alstom is involved in corruption scandals all over the world. Alstom systematically bribes local politicians, sometimes in the seven figures, to secure contracts. The frequency of known cases is such that one wonders if this is a deliberate business strategy. Alstom has been fined repeatedly and some of its subsidiaries were excluded from World Bank projects.

Coal India
Coal India's coal mines destroy the habitats of many large mammals and rob tribal peoples of their livelihood and homelands, forcing them into a life of bitter poverty. The dismal record with 205 workers dead and 699 seriously wounded in 2010 alone, suggests that working conditions at Coal India are indeed disastrous. At least 239 coal mines belonging to Coal India operate without environmental permit.

G4S
The ranks of the British security service company G4S include more than 650'000 employees. These security forces are often badly trained and paid and many of its members have a criminal record. The company is involved in countless cases of violations of international law and human rights abuses. G4S is present in the occupied Palestinian territories—manning checkpoints and managing prison security for Israel and is thus complicit in Israel’s illegal settlement policy.

Goldman Sacks
Between 1998 and 2009 Goldman Sachs pocketed horrendous fees to hide half of Greece’s public debt by means of accounting tricks, which eventually ruined Greece and plunged the EU into a financial crisis of which only Goldman profits. The bank has already earned at least 600 million dollars and Greece owes it 400 million per year until 2037, for a total of more than 10 billion dollars at the expense of European taxpayers.

Lonmin
Lonmin, the world's third largest mining concern, urged the South African mining ministery to take „appropriate“ measures against striking mine workers at their mine — with the help of the police or the army. A short time later, 44 protesting mine worker were shot dead by the police nd 77 more were seriously wounded. One day after the massacre, Lonmin threatened all workers who continued to strike with dismissal.

Repower
The Swiss energy corporation Repower is building a hard-coal fired power plant in Calabria, Italy, despite the opposition of the local population. The planned site lies at the very heart of the dominion of the `Ndrangheta Mafia, Italy’s and probably Europe’s most influential organized crime alliance. Repower will have to do business with the Mafia, or might already be doing business.

Shell
Shell is the first super-major oil company that plans to exploit the fragile Arctic in a high risk hunt for fossil fuels. The oil exploration in the Arctic has biodiversity consequences. While Shell confidently tells us that it has «made numerous plans for dealing with oil in ice». The company also admits that the technical and environmental challenges of oil exploration in the Arctic «are immense.

The Worst Farm Bill in History

Organic Consumers
email

Last week, the House Agriculture Committee rolled out its version of the Farm Bill (H.R.6083). We told you about Monsanto's latest line of attack on the few laws that actually protect "a farmer's choice to grow non-genetically engineered crops, or a consumer's choice to eat non-genetically engineered food."

If you haven't already taken action to stop Monsanto's sneak attack, both in the House Farm Bill and the Monsanto Rider in the 2013 Agriculture Appropriations Bill, click here.

Monsanto's attacks on the law's ability to protect farmers and consumers from unwanted, dangerous GMO contamination may be the boldest example of its power over Congress. But there's a lot more in the House Farm Bill that benefits biotechnology and Big Ag at the expense of family farmers and organic and sustainable food and agriculture. The House Farm Bill includes:

$16.1 billion in cuts to food assistance
Eliminates the Organic Certification Cost Share Program
Tens of billions in corporate welfare for the largest commodity crop growers, insurance companies, and agribusinesses
$6 billion in cuts to programs to protect natural resources, invest in beginning and disadvantaged farmers, revitalize local food economies, and promote health and food security
Unlimited subsidies to mega-farms that continue to drive small family farmers out of business
Incentives for growers to drop conservation practices, plow up marginal areas and intensify fencerow-to-fencerow cultivation of environmentally sensitive land
Nearly eight times more support for corn, soy, cotton, rice and wheat than for healthy fruits, nuts and vegetables
Guts the common-sense rules that protect water quality and wildlife from agricultural pesticides
Undermines progress made at the state level for animal rights
Ends fair competition and contract protections for livestock producers
Tell Congress to fix this horrible Farm Bill!

Tell Congress: No Free Pass for Monsanto!
By Alexis Baden-Mayer, Esq., Political Director
Organic Consumers Fund, July 17, 2012

Urgent action is needed today! The House version of the Farm Bill contains a provision that would give Monsanto and the other biotech companies a free pass for new GMOs and the increased herbicide use they cause.
TAKE ACTION!...Urgent action is needed today!

Monsanto has launched a series of sneak attacks on organic and non-GMO farmers and consumers. They began by attaching a rider to the U.S. House of Representatives' 2013 Agriculture Appropriations bill that would make it impossible for organic and non-GMO farmers and seed growers to defend themselves against GMO contamination. (http://www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_25711.cfm)

The rider would allow new genetically engineered crops to be planted even when courts rule that the US Department of Agriculture has approved them illegally. According to the courts, this results in "the potential elimination of a farmer's choice to grow non-genetically engineered crops, or a consumer's choice to eat non-genetically engineered food."

***Now, they've gotten a similar provision attached to the House version of the Farm Bill! ***

This even more dangerous provision would stop the EPA from reviewing new and expanded uses of pesticides (often caused by the introduction of new herbicide-resistant GMO crops) and require the USDA to make the approval of new genetically engineered crops easier and faster, limiting USDA review to 180 days.

While the USDA has never rejected a new GMO crop, public opposition, environmental concerns, and litigation to protect farmers have slowed new approvals. These Monsanto "riders" give Monsanto and the other biotechnology companies a free pass for new GMOs. According to the Center for Food Safety, these new riders would:

--Outlaw any review of GE crops' impacts under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), or any other environmental law, or by any other agency other than USDA.  For example, harm to protected species could occur without any input from our expert wildlife agencies.

--Prohibit other agencies from offering expert input in the review process and instead limit review to solely USDA under the PPA.  However, meaningful review would likely be eliminated by this rider, as USDA's analysis of potential harmful impacts is barred from informing any approval decision.  The agency is also barred from using its broader statutory authority granted in the PPA of 2000, and instead is limited to its old 1957 Federal Plant Pest Act authority.

--Force the backdoor approval of GE crops, even if USDA has not reviewed and approved them, through unreasonably short deadlines, which, if not met by the agency, would default to immediate approval and commercialization.  The provisions would also bar any agency funds be spent on impacts analysis beyond the riders' narrow and time-forced approval.

--Codify a dangerous national policy of allowing transgenic contamination in crops and foods, risking loss of GE-sensitive domestic and export markets and loss of biodiversity.

--Limit EPA's oversight of biotech crops engineered to produce or contain a pesticide by forcing the agency to choose the least burdensome choice for industry, regardless of environmental consequences.

Investigation: Two Years After the BP Spill, A Hidden Health Crisis Festers | The Nation

Research support for this article was provided by The Investigative Fund at The Nation Institute and the Puffin Foundation. Additional research by Lindsey Ingraham and Amit Shrivastava.
On March 3 Nicole Maurer learned of the proposed settlement between BP and hundreds of thousands of Gulf Coast businesses and residents harmed by its 2010 oil spill, the largest in US history.

In her cramped but immaculate trailer on a muddy back road in the small town of Buras, Louisiana, Nicole tells me that the two years since the tragedy began on April 20, 2010, have been “a total nightmare” for her family. Not only has her husband William’s fishing income all but vanished along with the shrimp he used to catch but the entire family is plagued by persistent health problems.
For months following the onset of the disaster, she says, there was an oil smell outside their home and “a constant cloudiness, like a haze, but it wasn’t fog.” Her 6-year-old daughter Brooklyn’s asthma got worse, and she now has constant upper respiratory infections. “Once it goes away, it comes right back,” Nicole explains.
Before the spill, Elizabeth, 9, was her “well kid.” But now Elizabeth constantly suffers from rashes, allergies, inflamed sinuses, sore throat and an upset stomach.
Nicole stares at me and catches her breath; she apologizes for the tears that flow down her face. “It’s a touchy subject,” she says. “They are just tired. Tired of being sick.”
William worked from June to October 2010 as part of the Vessels of Opportunity program that paid the fishermen BP put out of business to use their boats to clean up its oil. William transported giant bags, called bladders, used to collect oil, to the shore. When he came home at night, says Nicole, his clothes “smelled oily.” Not only were his clothes blackened; so was William.
William’s symptoms began with coughing, then headaches and skin rashes, followed by vomiting and diarrhea. About three to six months later, he started bleeding from his ears and nose and suffering from a heavy cough.
“I ain’t got no money for a doctor,” William quietly tells me, staring down at his hands in his lap. Medicaid covers the kids, but Nicole and William do not have health insurance. “We didn’t know we were gonna get sick. Now I get sick, I stay sick. I don’t sleep. I stay stressed out more than anything. I got bags under my eyes I never had before. I just don’t know if I wanna show people who I am.”
Nicole is fairly confident that the settlement is not going to bring justice. So she wants just one thing: enough money to get her entire family out of the Gulf Coast for good.

Rethinking Cancer Research and Treatment

Susan Brannon
16 March 2012

We need to rethink our cancer research and treatments on a global level. It is known that chemicals such as Benzene, workshop hazards, environmental hazards can cause cancer. What has not been researched are most of the 100,000 chemicals commonly used in commerce. Not only are the factory chemicals, workplace and the environment increase our chance of getting cancer, but the treatment itself is under question and that question remains behind closed doors.  The treatment is strongly  promoted by lobbyist and funded with billions of dollars to keep the risks silent. This includes radiation and chemotherapy, Davis (in The Secret History in the War on Cancer) claims that cancer researchers and cancer physicians are dying in record numbers.

CT scanning is a $100 billion dollar industry per year that allows us to view nifty 3 dimensional images but exposes us to radiation. A typical CT scan equals to 400 x-rays and it is known that 2,500 people die each year from the scans. (Yale Study) Davis explains that America is exposed to "equivalent of hundreds of Hiroshimas" spanned across Europe and Russia in radiation from diagnostic machines.   According to the Journal of Medicine, (2007) there were currently 62 million CT scans in the United States, with 4 million used on children. The article express the concern that  "the increasing exposure to radiation in the population may be a public health issue in the future."  ABC, investigated in 2010 that a problem with CT scans is that the radiation dosages vary widely, "Some patients who underwent the same type of test received 20 times more radiation than others, often in the same hospital."  In the end, America is at risk to increased radiation exposure.

Aspartame, cellphones and Ritalin are known to be contributors to brain cancer and tumors, yet 10% of America's children remain on ritalin. Any child under the age of 18 should not have or use a cell phone, and in reality any adult for that matter because the use of cell phones doubles the risk of brain cancer.

China is now the lead on the global economic boom, with increases in factories and along with it, increases in chemical exposure. As the boom increases in China, so does the cancer rate. In fact, cancer is China's number one killer.  In 2010 the Guardian reported  that "cancer villages" are the dark side of the economic boom.  A woman from the Yunnan province near factories says that "the pollution is bad, and people are getting sick.", she explains during an interview with full blown cancer and tears in her eyes.  There is an explosion in lead poisoning cases and further studies show that communities that recycle electronic waste are exposed to cadmium, mercury and brominated flame retardants. China's cancer rate jumped 30% since the introduction of industry in the past 30 years. Chinese farmers are almost four times more likely to die of liver cancer and twice as likely to die of stomach cancer than the global average, according to study commissioned by the World Bank. There have been protests in China with concerns of the factory environmental issues, increase in illness and pollution.  In response, the Chinese government claims that they are cleaning up the problem faster and better than any other country, yet the small villages seem to remain neglected. (Guardian)

Let's go a bit back into the history. In 1936, top cancer experts assembled in Brussels to discuss the topic. A British scientist who studied twins, learned that cancer is not inherited and blamed in on the chemical exposures in life. An Argentin doctor described how sunlight combined with hydrocarbons causes tumors in rats. A hydrocarbon is a chief component of petroleum and natural gas. The scientists also discussed how regular exposure to hormone estrogen cause male rats to develop large breasts.

The fast was then known that exposure to certain chemicals increased the risks of cancer. This lead to environmental studies in Canada to discover the root causes to over 200 diseases. The studies made a huge turn after the second world war, from environmental concerns to treatment focus.

Environmental issues was put on the back burner and $70 billion dollars later of fraud, neglect and propaganda on cancer, has not made any real progress as to the investigations or regulations on chemicals that are known to cause cancer.

In the 1920's General Motors factory workers who bottled lead as a gasoline additive started to drop dead like flies, GM responded that it was a "natural contaminant" Dye makers working with Benzidine at DuPont, started to develop bladder cancer, the studies were hidden until public pressure forced DuPont to publish the results. For over 100 years Benzene as a cancer agent has been denied, neglected, and under deceit. "Myron Mehlman, a toxicologist with Mobil Oil, told Japanese officials in 1989 that gasoline with 5-per-cent benzene was damned dangerous and shouldn't be sold, the company fired him."

ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips and Shell have invested $27-million in China to "contradict earlier claims that link exposure to low- and mid-levels of benzene to cancers and other diseases.", claims Davis.  The Huston Chronicle published an article in 2005, states that the oil industry funds study to counter benzene cancer causing claims. The study was launched in 2001 in Shanghai, China.  The article states, "The results have already been predicted" which makes this not a real scientific study, but a study to manipulate the facts in order to gain the desired results.

In 2009, MD Anderson released a study saying that in the next 20 years the cancer rate will increase in America 45% from 1.6 million in 2010 to 2.3 million in 2030. (link to article)   The Guardian reports that the cancer rate worldwide is increasing to 7.5 million people dying from cancer.  For almost 70 years, it has been known that environmental issues are contributors to cancer, billions is spent on cancer research and billions on its treatments, yet the cancer rate continues to rise. Don't you think that it is time for us to "rethink cancer research and treatments"

Halliburton

Susan Brannon
8 Sept 2011
Halliburton - “Iraq possesses huge reserves of oil and gas—reserves I’d love Chevron to have access to”  Kenneth Derr, Hallburton director and retired CEO of Chevron.

"And since I left Halliburton to become George Bush's vice president, I've severed all my ties with the company, gotten rid of all my financial interest. I have no financial interest in Halliburton of any kind and haven't had, now, for over three years." Dick Cheney

•    Cheney conveniently did not mention that he continues to receive a deferred salary of over $150,000 while maintaining 433,333 shares of unexercised stock options. Cheney and our government denied at that time that Cheney has a “financial interest in Halliburton while holding the position of Vice President of America. Not to mention, Cheney's wild claims about weapons of mass destruction turned out to be untrue and his claim that Halliburton had no ties to Saddam Hussein was bogus.

•    Cheney broke the ethics law, but both the president and vice president are exempt from the enforcement of such laws. Therefore, Cheney cannot be prosecuted for his conflict of interest or his lie.

•    On his 10th day as vice president, Dick Cheney established a secret "Energy Task Force," formally known as the National Energy Policy Development Group (NEPDG), for the purpose of making recommendations to President Bush on energy policy. In formulating a new energy strategy for America

•    After the formulation of the NEPDG and growing concerns of Cheney having “financial interest in Halliburton” Members of Congress demanded Cheney release the names of individuals and corporations who gave information and advice to the task force. But the vice president refused. After pressure from the General Accounting Office (GAO), the independent auditing arm of Congress, Cheney did release limited information about the task force. The GAO issued a report on the information and found several corporations and associations, including Chevron Corp. (now part of Chevron, Texaco Corp.) and the National Mining Association, gave detailed energy policy recommendations for the task force.

•    Soon after Cheney came into office in January 2001 that oil industry executives and confidential UN records revealed that Halliburton held stakes in two firms -- Dresser Rand and Ingersoll-Dresser Pump -- that signed contracts to sell more than $73 million in oil production equipment and spare parts to Iraq from the first half of 1997 through the summer of 2000 -- while Cheney was chairman and CEO of the company.

•    Following the end of the first Gulf War, the Pentagon, led by then Defense Secretary Dick Cheney, paid Halliburton subsidiary Brown & Root Services over $8.5 million to study the use of private military forces with American soldiers in combat zones. (Wikipedia)

Crime against Humanity

Susan Brannon
24 July 2011
There are records in history of crimes against humanity that are justified by governments and commercial interests.  Citizens protest, ask for social justice but the requests remain ignored by the corporations and government leaders for their own profit.

Today, GMO food production is used in the name for the benefit of society, the poor and impoverished nations.  But in fact the story of humanity is unjustified and has caused a monopoly on the raw and biological materials.  The farmers have become dependent on one major corporation for their seeds and have banished the natural cycle of renewable seeds.

There are estimates of 30,000 products on our grocery stores shelves, which are "modified" "genetically improved" and most of the products contain soy, a product to start with was "naturally" healthy and good for our bodies.  More than 1/2 of America's soy crop is genetically modified.

There are over 40 plant varieties of GMO products that have cleared the federal requirements for commercialization.  (USDA)

Some of the modifications may include drugs added into the foods that produce human vaccines against diseases such as Hepatitis B in bananas.
or engineered fish that mature at a faster rate, or fruit and nut trees that yield a year sooner than normal.

Not only is the growth of GMO foods threatening our society, but the government is willing to accept these products to be sold and used by newborns.

Here is a small list:

Enfamil Infant Formulas
(Mead Johnson)
# Enfamil with Iron
# Enfamil Low Iron
# Enfamil A.R.
# Enfamil Nutramigen
# Enfamil Lacto Free
# Enfamil 22
# Enfamil Next step (soy and milk-based varieties)
# Enfamil Pro-Soybee

Isomil Infant Formulas
(Abbot Labs)
# Isomil Soy
# Isomil Soy for Diarrhea

Similac
(Abbot Labs)
# Similac Lactose Free
# Similac with Iron
# Similac Low Iron
# Similac Alimentum

Now if this is not a crime against humanity, I do not know what is.
